I’ve never thought much about Amber Tamblyn. Aside from being a BUST columnist, I knew she was on a TV show about Jesus that I never saw, and she’s engaged to David Cross, and that was all the Tamblyn Trivia™ I knew—until Friday, when she became my hero. Apparently, actor-musician Tyrese Gibson saw Amber’s e-mail on some group message and confused her with model Amber Rose, Kanye’s ex-girlfriend. Read More
Amber Tamblyn writes an excellent regular Poetry Corner column in BUST, and in April she held a poetry competition with BUST and Buzznet. There was an incredible amount of entries but Amber managed to settle on one winner, and two runner up entries. The winning entry is “we all begin somewhere” by Chelsea Comeau, a Canadian poet and Education Assistant currently working on a full-length book of poetry that she hopes to someday publish. For all you photo-geeks out there, you'll be stoked to know that the Lomography Diana World Tour, after gracing such cities as Tokyo, Paris, and Madrid, has landed in New York City. This showcase is displaying more than 90 vintage Diana and Diana clone cameras in the Dietrich Collection, as well as an exhibition entitled "Diana Vignettes" in which photos and stories from current and future New York LomoAmigos is shown.
