We were saddened to hear of the passing of the wonderful Zelda Kaplan today, at the age of 95. Zelda has been a fixture on the nightlife scene in New York for years, and was beloved by anyone that ever saw her in her brightly colored African print outfits and large dark sunglasses. BUST has been a long time fan of Ari Seth Cohen's Advanced Style and the lovely ladies that it features so we were super excited to see the mainstream media pick up on and embrace this amazing blog. Everyone there looked fantastic dressed to the nines and it was one Fashion Week event I wont be forgetting any time soon.

My own grandmother was a huge inspiration to me, she had a career and a family, superb manners, lived to be 96, and always managed to look impeccable. So when I first saw the blog Advanced Style I was instantly smitten. The creator and founder, the wonderful Ari Seth Cohen, has a deep, real passion for women of a certain age who do their own thing and who love to dress stylishly, and he has been photographing and interviewing these amazing folks since 2008.
