If you're like us, you watched the season 5 premiere of Mad Men last nite. And, if you're like us, you can't get the song "Zooby zooby zoo" out of your head today. The song, sung and danced to in an excruciatingly embarrassing performance by Don Draper's Canadian wife, Meg, had us wondering two t hings: in what weird alien language does "zooby zooby zoo" mean "I love you?" And, WHAT IS THAT SONG? Turns out the title is actually "Zou Bisou Bisou," which in Canadian means, "Oh Kiss Kiss," and it was originally recorded in 1962 by someone named Gillian Hills. Read More
I have repeatedly tried to teach myself to bounce. As much as I wiggle, my ass is just not having it. There were fabulous curls galore!  Looking to put away my damaging curler, I turned to rag curls. I've heard a lot of nice things about rag curls  from Emily of It Girl, Rag Doll and Kater of All This Happiness. Read More
With no shortage of wacky (OK, insane) bills being proposed or passing, it’s an understatement to say women are getting fed up. But maybe the real reason male representatives are hell-bent on controlling our vaginas is simply that they don’t have one of their own! To help solve this problem, Government Free VJJ is asking you to knit, crochet, or sew a vagina and mail it to your local male governor, senator, or representative. Then he will be free to observe his personal beliefs and use it strictly for procreation, and not muddle it with slutty birth control. Read More
