We thought the embroidered grocery bag craft in our Feb/Mar issue (above left) was totally genius. Well it just so happens that Jennifer Reichert, the bag's designer, has many more tricks up her sleeve. My favorites are the custom knit portrait totes she makes (like the one above). Amazing! And if you love that grocery bag but just can't find the time to make it, you can get one right from the creator herself, just check out her Web site, Half-Birthday Knits, for all the crafty goodness.
Update: My extremely knitastic boss, Debbie Stoller, just informed me that the amazing customizable portrait tote pattern is actually one that she invented and published in her book Stitch 'n Bitch Nation
. Why am I not surprised?
