In the last two decades, the Asia-Pacific population has been growing at a slower rate compared to the rest of the world, according to the United Nations. A recent study by the East-West Center, a research center based in Hawaii, reveals that a great societal change is taking place in various nations of East and Southeast Asia - the marriage and fertility rates are dropping significantly among Asian women. A little bit '60s psychedelic revival', a little bit 'garage rock', and all 'up in your face'. Here are two clips of the Pandoras performing for the Los Angeles cable show, "L.A. IN!", circa 1985. This is my kind of band. Read More
More than 75% of American women who are employed work full-time jobs. In the Netherlands, nearly 60% of working women are employed part-time. With the Philly Naked Bike Ride and fall’s SlutWalk Providence quickly approaching, I needed something glitzy to complete my event attire - or non-attire. Yeah, yeah, it’s called ‘Naked’ Bike Ride, but it’s also an opportunity to wear nipple tassels and pasties and prance around in public. Nikki's debut LP, Walk of Shame, is set to be released on September 27th. Check out Nikki's page on the I Am Sound site. Read More
