You might think you're too old to be decorating Easter eggs, but you would be TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY WRONG. This fun, green recipe takes all that artificial dye and crap out of the spring-y crafting project. Veggies make for lovely, lively hues paired with any temp tatt you like. (I'm personally a fan of the example that uses old school tatts.) The process is simple and the eggs are super easy to personalize, making the perfect homemade gift or addition to any Easter basket. [Insert pun about eggs being eggs-ellent, eggs-tea special, eggs-actly what you're looking for this season, eggs-traordinary, etc here.]

You'll need:

-Red cabbage
-2 tablespoons vinegar
-Hard-boiled eggs
-A strainer
-A mixing bowl
-Temporary tattoos

1. Add chopped beets, red cabbage and turmeric into separate pots of boiling water, along with two tablespoons of vinegar.
2. Let pots simmer for approximately 30 minutes, then use a  strainer to separate the vegetables from the liquid.
3. Carefully place two hard-boiled eggs into a jar filled with dye. For light hues, soak eggs for approximately 30 minutes. For darker hues, soak overnight. Get creative and mix ingredients to create an assortment of colors.
4. Finally, remove all eggs and place them back into the carton. Once completely dry, decorate each with a tattoo. Personalize tattoos with your own design by using printable tattoo sheets.
