This web intern has a serious pet peeve - technology marketed to women.
So imagine my dismay at Dell's new site, Della. Of course, given the quality of the last two computers I had before I switched to Mac, I don't expect a whole lot from them. But seriously, marketing a new line of pretty pink laptops as eBook readers/diet monitors? Vomit.

Do we have a prom theme going today?
A group of high school students in Arcadia, CA, got misogynistic songs banned from their prom. They aren't eliminating all the current pop hits, nor are they lobbying for Jonas Brothers or other G-rated music groups, but are banning songs that refer women as 'ho's' or 'bitches'.

An Afghan school for girls was hit with poisonous gas yesterday. Over 100 people were hospitalized, some even slipped into comas. This is the third attack like this in as many weeks.
Girls have only been allowed to go to school in Afghanistan since the Taliban was removed from power in 2001. Before that, women and girls were banned from education and work.
