One of our favorite actresses and funny girls, (oh *and* upcoming BUST cover girls) Aubrey Plaza, appears in a short film entitled “It’s Getting Late,” from Miu Miu’s “Women’s Tales” series.  “Women’s Tales” is a series of four videos by female directors that premieres at the Venice Film Festival this week.   The film, directed by Massy Tadjedin, also includes Patricia Clarkson, British actress Gemma Arterton, and Japanese actress Rinko Kinkuchi.  All of the ladies are dressed in Miu Miu’s ready-to-wear collection, which the trailer showcases nicely...
There was a breach in security at the Republican National Convention in Tampa last Wednesday, but the gatecrashers in question weren't there to get violent. The perpetrators were 21-year-old Laura Mills, a recent college graduate from Illinois' Knox College, and retired colonel Ann Wright. Rightfully so, since...
We're loving the fashions in these 1970s-era pictures of students at Brooklyn's Saint Joseph's College, which Flavorpill posted recently.      Many of the styles look pretty similar to the ones ladies are sporting today, like the large black-rimmed glasses, pea coats, button downs, and belted waists.  In fact, there are probably awesomely stylish girls dressed like this walking around Brooklyn right now.      There are also quintessentially 70s plaids, vests, flares, and jumpers (most likely made out of wonderful heavy polyester). We're wishing we could locate the thrift store...

Well now, thanks to Gotham Girls Roller Derby, whether you’re an avid player who wants to get more practice or someone who’s seen "Whip It" once, you can get some skating in. Or you know, just learn to skate, period.   Gotham Girls are the badass women behind the NYC-based roller derby circuit, and their Gotham Girls Roller Derby (GGRD) league is comprised of four home teams (the Bronx Gridlock, the Brooklyn...
