Remember those Roaring Twenties-inspired Momiji dolls? Well, the makers of these adorable message dolls are back with a spooktacular new release named Spookie. With her pink hair, freckles, and heart-shaped lips, she’ll be the cutest trick-or-treater in town.     Gift her to the All Hallow’s Eve fanatics in your life (each limited-edition doll comes equipped with a pull-out message card). Or, keep the little skeleton-clad lady as a fright night decoration. Each figurine is priced at $25 and can be found here. Goodbye, five-year-old stuffed pumpkin. Hello, Spookie!   Images via...
Women’s issues have been an intense topic in this election, and our rights are important, especially considering we make up more than half of the population. In this awesome new PSA, entitled “You Don’t Own Me,” a multitude of women stand up for--and lip synch!--to Lesley Gore’s song of the same name (Lesley herself appears at the beginning to 'approve this message'!). As the vid’s description states,  “Women, let's rise up. Our vote alone can win this election. A vote for Obama is a vote for...
Here’s a heartwarming story to kick off the last full week of Breast Cancer Awareness Month; New York-based photographer Bob Carey has been photographing himself wearing a pink tutu for breast cancer awareness, calling it The Tutu Project. And the man sure knows how to rock a flouncy pink skirt:         Carey has recently released Ballerina, a book of these images, which will benefit breast cancer organizations such as Cancercare.org...
Rumplestiltskin and Belle had quite an interesting beginning in Season One, as they were Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely worship Rumbelle, and was thrilled to see another episode about this power couple. Rumple is one of the most mysterious characters, and this episode finally revealed some information about him. The episode begins in Storybrooke with Belle having doubts about Rumple and concerns about if he’s really going to change or keep using magic to control others. She sets out to explore Storybrooke without telling Rumple, and...
There's no denying that homophobia (and all kinds of phobias, for that matter) runs rampant in the Twitter-verse. Last week alone, NoHomophobes.com, a website dedicated to exposing homophobic Twitter users, noted that 218,477 tweets contained the slur "faggot". Just when I thought Twitter had gone to the trolls, my faith in the Internet was restored this past weekend (if only for a moment). The Huffington Post reported that the hashtag #SignsYoSonIsGay transformed from an online hangout for homophobes into a show of support for the gay community.   As you’ve...
