Andrea Diodati’s Fall 2013 collection, titled The White Fall, is a collection made up of cotton candy separates and sugary sweet styling. In NYC’s lovely All Souls Chapel, the scene was set with sparkling lemonade, pink cotton candy via Handsome Dan’s and a live performance by songstress and pianist, Nibia. The styling of the models and overall vibe of the show were initially reminiscent of Meadham Kirchhoff S/S’12, but the show soon took on a life of its own. Inspired by textures from vintage cheerleading...
Police in Papua New Guinea have charged two people with the disturbing murder of a 20-year-old woman accused of practicing witchcraft. Kepari Leniata was stripped naked, assaulted with a hot iron rod, drenched in gasoline, and burned alive on a heap of trash and car tires earlier this month.  Hundreds of people looked on while Leniata burned to death, including many children and teenagers. Of the 40 people detained during the investigation of the crime so far, Janet Ware and Andrew Watea have been charged with...
Jennifer Herrema, the musician best known as one half of Royal Trux, has partnered up with jewelry designer Pamela Love to form Feathered Fish—a new collaboration between the women, started with the help of Drag City. Only...
Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche will make history on February 23, when they square off against each other at UFC 157 for the title of women’s bantamweight champion. Never before has the Ultimate Fighting Championship set up a match between two women, and these contenders are particularly formidable.  Rousey, the favorite to win, is a world champion in judo and a force to be reckoned with in mixed martial arts. With her signature fighting move, the armbar, she’s forced all six of her pro MMA opponents...

As Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, she offers up a winning new brand of Southern discomfort (though she’s from the North), with tastes of pop, folk, and Americana. The album begins with a guitar slowly strumming sorrow, as if Spaltro is quietly waiting for the pain to go away while offering up lyrics like, “Love is selfish/Love goes tick tock tick.” She can sound sweet and angelic, then belt...
