In a recent interview with British journalist Cathy Newman, the Dalai Lama said he would be pleased if his successor was a female. “Now we are 21st century…female have more potential so should take more active role regarding promotion of human compassion," he told Newman. His Holiness went on to say he believes females have more potential in actively promoting love and affection than men. But before we can count a win for the sisterhood, it must be noted the Dalai Lama doesn’t get to choose his...

It's pretty obvious that we adore Canadian electro artist Grimes. Our current cover girl is not only one of today's most exciting musicians, but super politically articulate (and you can hear it in her music-- "Oblivion" is about sexual harrassment). ("I feel like if I didn't do it, it's not Grimes.") This philosophy has never been more visible...
Terrariums are great for those folks who weren't born with a green thumb. At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, you seriously just set it and forget it. (Okay, so it's more like you mist it and forget it, but you get the point.) Twig Terrariums is a "verdant venture" between two friends, Michelle Inciarrano and Katy Maslow. Their shop in Gowanus, Brooklyn boasts a variety of terrariums (moss, plant, succulent, and air plant), DIY kits, gardening swag, and gifts. They specialize...

I figured aluminum was the problem, as the active ingredient in antiperspirant is proven to leave gross marks, but even aluminum-free deodorants ruined my shirts. So I kept coming back to my old standard, Axe (it's fantastic deodorant, don't look at me like that), but my go-to deo didn't seem to do...
