Why is it that we belittle those interested in learning by calling them “nerds?" I personally don't believe there is such a thing as a guilty pleasure (unless you’re a serial killer or something), but being interested in books or science or math definitely shouldn’t be considered a “guilty” pleasure. If you like something, why not celebrate that interest? Making pi jokes may have been taboo in high school, but Debbie Barr, a Mormon college student with a penchant for playing video games and reading, takes...
Although I find that Carly Rae Jepsen’s song “Call Me Maybe,” perpetuates the stereotype that I have to wait for a guy to call me (if I am interested, I WILL CALL YOU!), I still find it incredibly catchy. And apparently Cookie Monster does too because, from the makers of Sesame Street, a new spoof of the song went viral this week. Every year the masterminds behind the project pick a different river, and this time around they're sailing down one of the largest and most populated in the United States, the Ohio River. The boat is constructed...
Yup you read that right--Fleetwood Mac is getting back together. The ethereal gypsy that is Stevie Nicks spoke with “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday about the group reuniting for a handful of shows in 2013. “Next year, so far..it’s the plan.” The number of plays “Rumours” has in my iPod is up in the triple digits and I am crazy excited--like tween crying at boy band concert excited--for the chance to see Fleetwood Mac live on stage. My life will be complete once I get my hands on those...
