I like maxin’ and relaxin’ in my comfy clothes as much as the next gal, but I'm starting to realize that being overdressed may not be a bad thing. Recently, I've been contemplating expanding my wardrobe into the realm of hats. A dashing chapeau demands attention and not just any one will do. A handmade hat deserves admiration. Thankfully, Holly Slayton, owner of Artikal Millinery, will be bringing her amazing headware to the upcoming BUST Magazine Holiday Craftacular. Her hats run the gamut from cozy, sassy knits...
One of two members of Russian punk collective Pussy Riot jailed in August for an anti-Putin performance has been moved to solitary confinement.   Prison officials stated that Maria Alekhina, 24, requested the move for her own safety; Russian site Lifenews specified that other inmates threatened Alekhina following a heated discussion about religion. It doesn’t get much better than Alfred Russel Wallace saying, “I’ve selected you, naturally.”  They’ve also got tote bags, coasters, and ornaments featuring...
Looking for that perfect gift for an über-hip friend or relative this holiday season?  Brookadelphia has you covered. This line of laser-cut acrylic jewelry offers earrings and necklaces with pendants that brightly spell out blunt words (like the “cheese” neck piece below) or fun things like antlers!     This line of jewelry combines designer Amber Zezeck's “love of design” and her “love of jewelry and technology.” And despite the cool combination of Brooklyn and Philadelphia it's got going on now, the shop's name will be changing to “Non Fiction”...
