I am going to see Yo Majesty tomorrow night and I can not wait. This show will be soooo much better then that wack Kanye show. They are playing two shows in New York so if you live over here get on it.

Last night I went to a party for the 25th Anniversary of G-Shock Watches. Spike Lee was a speaker and Kanye West performed. Spike looked old and bored but managed to crack a couple jokes. Kanye looked amazing and sucked ass.  I have never really been into Kanye but I thought maybe he could win me over with his live performance. Nope!First off he rapped from a chair, wtf!    creep this way fo mo Kanye hate: Since I am a shorty that meant I couldn’t really see him, but he was just sitting in a chair so who cares anyway.

C'mon and shake ya tail featha! Subway Soul Club is a monthly dance night playing upbeat 1960's Northern Soul, Motown, Boogaloo and Organ grooves in New York City. This month, they’re throwing a spectacular Girl's Night with 12 lady DJs spinning 1960s Northern Soul, Motown and Go-Go Grooves. Plus, the super rad and talented, soul group Nouvellas will play live downstairs at 9pm. Dance the night away to vintage, vinyl 45s spun by Resident DJ Phast Phreddie, The Boogaloo Omnibus and of course an awesome line up of female soul DJs and British Hostess Lady Dawn (not me). 9 p.m.

Being eco-friendly doesn't mean you can't still be chic and stylish. Whether its early morning drizzles downpours, or heavy winds, the Brelli will keep you dry. Made from  bamboo and a biodegradable clear canopy, you'll have heads turning as you walk down the street. When the weather clears, simply put it in an Alchemy Goods Ad Bag. Its made out of strong, recycled vinyl mesh and seat belt straps as handles. It's light, airy and perfect for summer trips to the beach, gym, grocery store and around town.

"Yeah, it's objectifying and all, but you know, if I walked down the street and didn't have men looking me up and down and catcalling, I'd think, 'Boy I must really be getting old and dumpy'."So says 31 year old (and dumpy?) Jessica, on CNN.com's story posted today about catcalling. But even though she's the only one quoted who seemed to enjoy that kind of crap, the headline on the CNN.com story teases, "Hey baby! That catcalling is hot...sometimes".

omg, i'm dying. new vid from our fave kiwis. so awesome. can't. stand.

Painter Lucian Freud's life-size 1995 portrait of his muse, Sue Tilley, titled "Benefits Supervisor Sleeping," just broke the world auction record for the amount paid for the work of a living artist. Christies sold it yesterday for $33.6 million dollars, beating out the previous record-holder Jeff Koons, whose "Hanging Heart" nabbed $23.5 million last year.

Boy am I glad I’m going to San Francisco over Memorial Day weekend so I can catch Sacred Spring, Portland artist Betsy Walton’s show at Rare Device.

(picture from Imnotobcessed.com) Friday night after I saw Poultrygeist I went with my gay boyfriend to Style Wars: a stylist battle hosted by House of Diehl. It was at the Stoli Hotel, which is some kind of pop up party spot and really has nothing to do with a hotel at all. It did have open Stoli bar all night and I camped out by the door where the food came out from and managed to catch a nice light dinner of tapas. If you are ever looking for me at a party, and food trays are circulating, it is a bet that I will be right in front of the door the food comes out of.

Our Spring Fling Craftacular raffle winner, Joe, just sent in these adorable pix of him and his lady looking positively smitten with all of their BUST booty, which included a brand new Janome Magnolia sewing machine, goodies from Sublime Stitching, Quirk Books, Duncan Crafts, Kaight NYC, and soooo many other rad gifts donated from the Craftacular vendors! Joe says that he and his girlfriend plan to make DIY wallets and bags, I don't think they'll have any problems with all the new crafty gear they scored.
