Since first discovering the comedic genius of Clay Weiner, I can't stop watching his shorts on YouTube. I've waited 6 long months to finally be able to post one of my favs called, "The Christmas Tree," which features a character that is disturbingly a bit too recognizable as any one of our moms or grandmas. Now pick up that shit.

Now that we've reluctantly made the transition from iced americanos to hot cocoa, it's time to bundle up and brave another Winter. Luckily, Holly Slayton from Artikal N.Y.C. can make the these months a little bit warmer.  I've become completely smitten with her gorgeously handcrafted hats. From cloches, to fedoras, to cocktail hats, Artikal will keep you looking H-O-T-T in these cold cold months. Check these out!  Check out her site, Artikal, where you're sure to find a lovely lid for your dome. You can also see her at the Craftacular! She'll be at booth D11.

Can you believe that the Craftacular is already less than two weeks away?! We've been busy busy busy getting everything together and we can't be more excited! If you haven't checked our the vendor list, get to it! We've compiled over 200 of the most talented and unique crafters to stuff your stockings this holiday season. Never will emptying your wallet feel soooo good...Oh yeah, not only will we have vendors, dancing, DJs, drinks, and Amy Sedaris (!!!), but we're also going to premiere the very first Craftacular Polaroid photo studio! That's right.

OK, this actually looks like a chicken, but you know what I'm sayin.

...if i couldn't be me, i would want to be lily allen.

I went to see the very fine singer, Shelby Lynne sing the songs off her upcoming 2008 album of Dusty Springfield covers, Just a Little Lovin' last night at Hiro in NYC. Now dont get me wrong, Shelby is an amazing singer, and I think her 2000 release, I am Shelby Lynne, is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. (it's very Dusty influenced). But during the rather subdued and lackluster set, I found myself just wanting to hear the real deal. Which is maybe not fair, but Dusty is really sort of untouchable. There's no denying it. So here is a little treat for your friday.

Check this interview with Amy Winehouse from 2004— before the beehive, the eyeliner, the tattoos, the Blake, and while she was still at a normal weight. Which do you prefer, Amy 1.0 or Amy 2.

BUST Magazine's Halloween party with Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears was too ghoul for school! When we weren't doing the monster mash with music from Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears, Everthus the Deadbeats, and Everything Now, partiers enjoyed complimentary libations from Blupoint Brewery and Sweet Leaf Tea! I must say that this party definitely showcased some of the finest costumes I ever did see. A few of my fav were the Hang in There Kitty and Pat and Amy. Other favs included The Three Stages of Bjork, and Thing One and Thing Two.
