This past week, I got to do one of the most fun things ever: Teach Mo Rocca to knit. Mo got himself into some hot water with the knitting community a few weeks ago (yes, there is such a thing as a 'knitting community,') when he made the horrifying 'joke' on NPR's Wait Wait..Don't Tell Me that 'I hate handknit sweaters. Handknit sweaters are always itchy.' The remark caused an uproar on knitting blogs and community sites, and Mo heard all about it. So, on the ... Read More

Absolutely Strange

BY Laurie in General

It seems we've done it again. Taken a British comedy classic and Americanized it (The Office, Posh and David Beckham) This time we set our target on the British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous (or Ab Fab if you are a real fan). If you have not seen this show, please watch it right now.... but only if you are a fan of immature, chain-smoking, alcoholic, fashion-obsessed, fame-hungry, middle-aged ladies who live in London. I was concerned the first time I heard about ... Read More

Everyone has been all over the Chris Brown-Rihanna beating controversy (c'mon, we've all seen the TMZ photo of her face post-beating by now...) that the Big-O has stepped in, and you KNOW it's somethin' serious when Oprah lays it down to ya. (Let's not forgot how she invited author James Frey back just to call him out for lying to her face on her show!) I mean, who wasn't shocked to see Rihanna and Chris Brown back together after what seemed like a hot ... Read More
