No, this one isn't caused by that shirtless picture of Daniel Craig that randomly popped up in your last Google image search. This particular bizarre feeling in your south towns can actually be from your pants. Apparently if your skinny jeans are a little too, uh, skinny, they can cause meralgia paresthetica or 'tingling leg syndrome.' It comes from excess pressure being put on your femeral nerve by restrictive denim, and it only gets worse if you pair them with heels. It sort of feels like your leg has fallen asleep. Read More
With all the attention that the Iranian election protests are getting, some focus is being drawn to an incredibly important issue: women's rights . Right now, women in Iran are legally second-class citizens. An NPR segment talking about recent women's protests said that women are considered one-half of men. A woman's life is valued at half of a man's and her testimony in court is only worth half of what a man's is. This also means that women have less say in cases of inheritance, divorce and custody. But Iranian women are sick of the inequality and they have been demonstrating. Read More

Gotta Collect 'Em All!

BY Web Intern in General

When I was a kid, I found the concept of collecting things - tchotchkes, Barbies, stamps, and so on - to be very cool. Unfortunately, I was too cheap and impatient to start a collection myself, so it never ever really went past Spice Girls stickers for me. I must not have been the only one who found it interesting considering the obsessive trends of the past that had to do with collecting. Read More
